Rails Through the Heartland

There is something deeply romantic about a train ride, and the journey from Kogi to Delta delivered that in full. As the locomotive pulled away from the station, the rugged, rocky terrain of Kogi State gave way to rolling hills and dense vegetation before finally flattening into the rich, green flood plains of Delta State. Watching local life flash past the window — farmers, children waving, river crossings — felt like reading chapters of a story most people never get to see. The rhythm of the rails, the chatter of fellow passengers, the changing landscape — every hour brought a new mood, a new Nigeria.
